Wishing you had some radio playlist pull? Then life as a radio plugger may be for you. Radio pluggers (also known as radio promoters, radio PR, etc) are the link between musicians/labels and radio. Typically, a plugger is hired a on campaign basis - either to work a full album or to work a single. They then liaise with radio station managers, music research departments, show producers and DJs to try to drum up some support for the music they’re representing. Getting a song place on the playlist is the ultimate goal, as that ensures the most spins, but getting spot plays, organizing promotions and contests involving the artist, setting up interviews and live sessions, or simply getting the release mentioned on air all figure into the picture.

Musical Box
Thursday May 22, 2008
The musical box is believed to have originated in Switzerland during the late 1700’s. In 1796, a watchmaker by the name of Antoine Favre invented a comb-like device that incorporated musical notes on pocket watches and lockets. Nowadays, musical boxes come in a variety of styles that play a selection of beautiful tunes. There are also those that are considered collector’s items and are worth a lot of money.
