1 października na zakończenie uroczystej Inauguracji Roku Akademickiego 2007/2008 na Politechnice Opolskiej połączone orkiestry dęte Politechniki Opolskiej i Zespołu Szkół Elektrycznych im. T. Kościuszki w Opolu pod batutą ich kierownika artystycznego Przemysława Ślusarczyka zaprezentują zgromadzonym utwory z ich płyty kompaktowej wydanej przez Dział Promocji PO. Będzie to także okazja do promocji najnowszego wydawnictwa muzycznego PO. Gościem uroczystości będzie Chór Akademii Morskiej w Gdyni, który przyjedzie na zaproszenie PO w ramach wymiany kulturalnej pomiędzy obydwoma uczelniami. Początek uroczystości o godz. 11:00. Hala Sportowa PO, ul. Małopolska 22.
Po jej zakończeniu orkiestry wyjeżdżają na wspólne Warsztaty Muzyczne do Niwek podczas których będą przygotowywać nowy program na najbliższy sezon artystyczny oraz program na koncerty w Gdyni.
